Painting parade, London, 2013
Presented by LeandaKateLouise

Artists had been invited to exhibit works that might not have seen
the light of day or were perhaps forgotten; encased in bubble-wrap,
condemned to storage. This was an opportunity for artists to enjoy
a day out amongst some of London's most famous landmarks, whilst
in the company of their paintings and others. Artists arrived with
paintings tied around their necks, worn as back packs, painted as
garments, constructed as sandwich boards, stuffed into pockets,
and pushed in prams. The parade became a subtle show that slunk
along The Southbank, immersed within all the other sights that
compete for the attention of tourists and frustrate Londoners.
