My accidental encounter with everyday utility objects constitutes a challenge for me to reinterpret their established nature through the aesthetic rules of art.
Every object carries its own distinct formal characteristics and the corresponding cultural codes. My effort is to find the relations which will highlight these characteristics by adding, removing or composing elements without losing the original shape or colours, through a spontaneous, instinctive approach.
Wooden doors, beds, chairs, sacks and fabrics are "signifiers" of society and in my work they are meant to assume a role : to attract the gaze of passers-by and turn them into viewers. The elements of pronounced decorativeness, colours and plasticity interact with the traces of man-induced wear to tear.
